Like I mentioned in my previous post, the crew of Dutch Moonbase did it once again. They where asked to help in building new MOC’s for the Star Wars Event in june 2011 in Legoland Germany.
Marco Baas (Legopapa) build this enormous and astonishing detailed Death Star Trench.
The build started as a joke, Marco states. Last year at Legoworld in Zwolle (The Netherlands) he was challenged by fellow Dutch Moonbase crew to build a 10 meter long trench from Star Wars: A New Hope.
He accepted… (glad he did, otherwise we couldn’t marvel at these images)

The large diorama of Tatooine was build by Mike van Leeuwen (Sky4walker). It took him 4 months of hardcore building when he ended up with a 7 x 1.8 meter layout.
Hot Toys’ first in the line of the new Marvel Studio’s movie Thor.
Other than Thor himself and Odin, Hot Toys made no further announcements for other figures in the line. It’s getting tough to find Thor, so if you see him somewhere, I suggest buy him and you won’t be disappointed.
As for Thor’s dad, Odin the All father, is still widely available. However cool that figures is, I didn’t pre-order him. Money is a factor but also the focus of my collection. Loki I would buy. Or Lady Sif and maybe the warriors Three. But alas, we have to do with farther and son.
Second full-length trailer for Joe Johnston & Marvel’s comic book adaptation Captain America: The First Avenger is now online. Offering more new footage and Cap in action.
It’s just a really fun trailer to watch. I hope the same for the move. We’ll see on july 28…
Eurobricks MOC Expert Marshal Banana has finally finished his epic UCS-scaled Sandcrawler. I must say this is a feat that dwafs every previous Star Wars MOC in pure awesomeness and in spectaculair details. It also completely dwarfs LEGO’s modular buildings as a comparisment. It’s not really this size that counts. The lights really finishes the job
Featuring lights, motors, and over 10,000 LEGO elements, Marshal Banana shows off the fruits of his 9 months worth of labor. It’s massive. It’s incredible.
It’s 96 cm long, 100.5 cm long.
Powered radio-controlled Functions:
- driving: forward reverse
- stearing
- main ramp: up and down
- crane: up and down, in and out
- conveyer band: forward and reverse
I would like to see is next to TLG’s official Sandcrawler (10144) which is relativily big, but looks tiny now…

This is the New Goblin from “Spider-Man 3″, played by James Franco in the movie. However a cool looking figure and the awesome sculpt of James Franco, the figure is not spend on me. It’s just not the Green Goblin I would like to see next to my Spider-Man. I didn’t like the design in the movie and I dont like it as a 12″ figure. besides, the hoover board is just to lame. I prefer The Green Goblin 1, with a little MOD on some purple cloth or Docter Octopus.

An unexpected surprise at the Licensing International Expo 2011, as ComingSoon.net learned when spotted the left art for the television event. LEGO Star Wars is set to receive a small-screen special this fall and, while details were few, there was told that the special is likely for late September.

The third season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is set to land on DVD and Blu-Ray in mid-October according to the new official press release from Lucasfilm.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars The Complete Season Three will be available in the US on October 18th for the suggested retail price of $44.98 for DVD and $59.99 for Blu-ray. No information on the European release just yet.

LEGO sent out a press release containing assets for their latest LEGO Star Wars model, 10221 Super Star Destroyer Executor.
Weighing in at 3,152 pieces (nearly 3.5 kg), measuring nearly 124.5 cm long and weighing , every aspect of this fantastic model is to impress.
The set includes 5 minifigures: Darth Vader, Bossk and a new Dengar, Admiral Piett and IG-88 figure; a display stand and data sheet label and the center section lifts off to reveal command center!
