I absolutly love the late and far to short-lived Firefly series, so this MOC of the iconic ship “Serenity” from Firefly immediately got my attention.
It’s a gorgeous rendering in Lego. flickr user tbone_tbl shows his love for the ship and his attention for details and Inara’s Shuttle. Check out his photostream!
HardOCP has an image with an equation which apparently draws the Batman logo. Is this for real?
Well, a lot of people were stunned and are trying to prove the equation is true by trying to plot the graph. In reddit thread you’ll see lot of people tried and failed. Some succeeded. Others were kind enough to post the Mathematica code. Somebody did some code for MAPLE or in Metlab. Well, it SEEMS to work. Even in actionScript.
(thanks for the tip, @bvlaanderen)
Game developer Ubisoft just released a teaser trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Embers
The short will be release alongside Assassin’s Creed Revelations on November 15th. In Europe Embers will ship with the Collectors and Animus Edition of the game, or you can download the short through Xbox Live or PSN.
Embers explores Ezio Auditore’s advanced years, after Revelations. The trailer shows our familiar assassin far older than we’ve ever seen him with his family. He fears not only that he is running out of time, but that someone is trying to hunt him down.
The film will run for 20 minutes, offering a unique experience of Ezio’s life, bringing further closure to the Ezio story.
This short film was created and produced by UbiWorkShop, and was completely developed internally at Ubisoft Montreal. UbiWorkShop teamed up with two other teams: Ubik, and a team from the Technology Group, to create the film.

It looks like it will become a reallity. The villian from Iron Man will get a Hot Toys release.
Although no official details about the figure are released, The figure looks awesome. And Massive.

With the Comicon in San Diego is full swing, The first Lego superheroes are on display.
Somebody at the Comiccon has been nice enough to take pictures and post them online.
.
Note that these are prototypes. Don’t expect stickers or decals on the actual figures
.
I think they’re awesome. But i try to keep some distance as my Lego collection in Star Wars focused. I can’t affort another Lego theme, even if these are superhero’s. I allready here my backaccount cracking and my wive complaining… Like I said, awesome!
The trailer for The Avengers just leaked and found it’s way online.

Directing Joss Whedon,
LEGO has been granted for making superheroes figures and playsets of the two biggest comicbookpublishers, Marvel and DC for their new SuperHeroes line.
.
Earlier today Variety reported LEGO now has the full DC Comics license. In short, expect to see LEGO sets based on their most popular characters including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and villains the Joker, Bane, Harley Quinn and Lex Luthor.
.
Now I’ve learned the LEGO Super Heroes line will not only include the DC Comics license, but will also include Marvel Comics as well.
.
As a superhero fan, this announcement blows my mind. It’s awesome, it totally came out of the blue.

flickr user Commdr_Neyo ☮ sneak peak of the uperman, Batman and Green Lantern figures.

Lego already released sets en minifigures in the past. These are 2 versions of Spider-man, Dr Ocktopus, Multiple versions of Batman, Robin, Joker, Riddler, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn and Bruce Wayne.
I wonder how much the new figures will differ from the previous releases.
ArzLan created an awesome scene from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade featuring Al Khazneh, one of the most elaborate buildings in the ancient Jordanian city of Petra.
ArzLan’s creation made him a finalist along with 11 others in a Hong Kong contest to depict film scenes in Lego.
However stunning the other creations are, and certainly worth checking out, the Al Khaznah creation is smart, beautiful and simply astonishing.
