With the Comicon in San Diego is full swing, The first Lego superheroes are on display.
Somebody at the Comiccon has been nice enough to take pictures and post them online.
.
Note that these are prototypes. Don’t expect stickers or decals on the actual figures
.
I think they’re awesome. But i try to keep some distance as my Lego collection in Star Wars focused. I can’t affort another Lego theme, even if these are superhero’s. I allready here my backaccount cracking and my wive complaining… Like I said, awesome!

LEGO has been granted for making superheroes figures and playsets of the two biggest comicbookpublishers, Marvel and DC for their new SuperHeroes line.
.
Earlier today Variety reported LEGO now has the full DC Comics license. In short, expect to see LEGO sets based on their most popular characters including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and villains the Joker, Bane, Harley Quinn and Lex Luthor.
.
Now I’ve learned the LEGO Super Heroes line will not only include the DC Comics license, but will also include Marvel Comics as well.
.
As a superhero fan, this announcement blows my mind. It’s awesome, it totally came out of the blue.
The first figures in the superheroline will be:

I wonder how much the new figures will differ from the previous releases.

A year ago I discovered the power or the sixth scale of 12″ figures.

After seeing Machiko, the She-Predator from Hot Toys. I fell in love and thus she became the first 12″ figure in my collection. I was in astonished about the details en articulation of the this figure. The sculpt was unprecedented. But then again, these figures aren’t cheap.
Curious to see how the 1/6 scale figures hold up in the Star Wars franchise I bought my second 12″figure: Sideshow’s Stormtrooper.  Stormtroopers always where one of my favorite characters in Star Wars, so I was playing safe.
I got to know a little more about the world of the 12″ figures. About the different companies, qualities and prices. Also my first 12″ superhero, Iron Man Mark III, was a fact.
