With the Comicon in San Diego is full swing, The first Lego superheroes are on display.
Somebody at the Comiccon has been nice enough to take pictures and post them online.
.
Note that these are prototypes. Don’t expect stickers or decals on the actual figures
.
I think they’re awesome. But i try to keep some distance as my Lego collection in Star Wars focused. I can’t affort another Lego theme, even if these are superhero’s. I allready here my backaccount cracking and my wive complaining… Like I said, awesome!

LEGO has been granted for making superheroes figures and playsets of the two biggest comicbookpublishers, Marvel and DC for their new SuperHeroes line.
.
Earlier today Variety reported LEGO now has the full DC Comics license. In short, expect to see LEGO sets based on their most popular characters including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and villains the Joker, Bane, Harley Quinn and Lex Luthor.
.
Now I’ve learned the LEGO Super Heroes line will not only include the DC Comics license, but will also include Marvel Comics as well.
.

I wonder how much the new figures will differ from the previous releases.

Astonishing! That was my first reaction after seeing the newly released photos of Hot Toys’ Superman 1/6th scale figure based on the likeness of Christopher Reeve. In recent years, Hot Toys has shown a tremendous aptitude for making life-like 1/6th scale figures of our favorite heroes and villains of film. From perfect costuming to intricate paintwork and sculpting, these collectibles have become the pinnacle of high-end toy collecting. Other companies have licensed the likeness of Christopher Reeve in recent months, and have even released their own movie-versions of the Man of Steel, but regardless of how well done those have been – this is the definitive version. No question.
.
Amid high anticipation, Sideshow Collectibles and Hot Toys are proud to present the Superman 12-inch Figure from the 1978 classic superhero film Superman. The movie-accurate Superman collectible is specially crafted based on the image of Christopher Reeve as The Man of Steel, highlighting the authentic head sculpt, movie-accurate costume and detailed light-up figure stage imitating the Fortress of Solitude.
